Bulldozer's 1986 sophomore album "The Final Separation" is generally regarded as a thrash metal release but I feel that there's just as much speed metal included so we should give it a dual tagging. There's some genuine black metal about a couple of tracks but it's not consistent enough to warrant it going into The Horde.

I think all the things you guys didn't enjoy about Helloween, I actually love. Mind you, not when I was a wee lad, I was far too brutal for that, but as I've gotten older I've grown fonder of Euro power metal (the devil on my shoulder would probably suggest that just maybe I just ran out of other metal genres to explore). The cheese factor is a part of the charm I guess, but definitely isn't for those with a lactose intolerance.

I really wish I liked it. I'm actually jealous of metal fans that get into power metal, cause there's so much stuff to get your teeth into. I'm a sucker for fantasy themes, so I feel like I'm missing out.

I genuinely tried to go in with no preconceptions this time and just take the music for what it is, but unfortunately, I can't really control the gag reflex that it triggers in me. It's just not for me, and I can't just flick a switch to change that.

I hope you enjoyed our singing! It's one of my favourite moments in the Metal Academy Podcast journey.

Oh, and you don't need to list the clans / genres for each band. I have a process I go through while adding albums that will set that anyway. Just names will do, and possibly countries in case there are multiple bands with the same name.

"Frizzle Fry" certainly contains its metal moments. But is there enough there to warrant it being labelled as funk metal or alternative metal overall? Or does sit closer to a band like Red Hot Chilli Peppers than it does Tool? Vote "Yes" to have it maintain it's place in The Gateway & "No" to have it included under our "Non-metal" genre classification.

There's no question that "Possessed" includes three or four speed metal numbers but is there enough of that component spread across its thirteen tracks to warrant it being considered as a part of the subgenre? Or is it more of a traditional heavy metal album with a few speed metal leanings thrown in for variation? Vote "No" to remove it from The Pit or "Yes" to have it maintain its place.
