8-Track Themes "Fuse and Infuse"
I really like the 8-Track Themes idea by Zach and felt like starting it in my own clans. The theme for The Gateway is "Fuse and Infuse", with some high-octane alt-/nu metal tracks to jam out to.
1. Evanescence – "Lithium"
2. New Years Day – "Relentless"
3. Mushroomhead – "Fall In Line"
4. Memphis May Fire – "Necessary Evil"
5. Falling In Reverse – "Watch the World Burn"
6. Disturbed – "Torn"
7. Godsmack – "1000hp"
8. Linkin Park – "Two Faced"
You know the drill... Replace, reorder, add, drop, discuss! All in the same theme for a good jamming time.
That Falling in Reverse track isn't my bag at all so I'm gonna have to replace it with the title track from Spiderbait's 1992 "Shashavaglava" album which was quite popular with the kids around these parts when I was in high school.
1. Evanescence – "Lithium"
2. New Years Day – "Relentless"
3. Mushroomhead – "Fall In Line"
4. Memphis May Fire – "Necessary Evil"
5. Spiderbait - "Shashavaglava"
6. Disturbed – "Torn"
7. Godsmack – "1000hp"
8. Linkin Park – "Two Faced"
Good choice, Daniel! That Spiderbait track sounds like a solid early alt-metal banger, though it makes a detour to jazzy funk in the verses.
Oh man I don't know if I'm doing it right or not (I lack familiarity outside of the big names here), but I will try.
Wife and I listened to the full set and felt that Memphis May Fire had the weakest track in the set. So I am going to push that one out, and replace with some In This Moment and hope they fit the genre. It sounds good to my ears.
1. Evanescence – "Lithium"
2. New Years Day – "Relentless"
3. Mushroomhead – "Fall In Line"
4. In This Moment-"Adrenalize"
5. Spiderbait - "Shashavaglava"
6. Disturbed – "Torn"
7. Godsmack – "1000hp"
8. Linkin Park – "Two Faced"
You're doing it right, Zach. I love that In This Moment song, another great track to please the alt-metal crowd.
