VENOM and VENOM INC

Tomorrow night I am going to see Venom INC live at the Diesel Concert Lounge in New Baltimore Michigan. 

Now you may be thinking that Venom INC is some kind of tribute band, but this is not the case. Here is the back story;

Venom was assembled by Jeff Mantas. Conrad "Cronos" Lant wrote songs, sang, and drew up the logo. I don't know all the details, but the end result of some legal proceedings is that both men are able to use the name and perform the songs.

Cronos tours as Venom, whereas Mantas tours as Venom Inc along side Tony Dolan who sang for the band on the albums Cronos wasn't involved with.

Personally, I just love the classic Venom Songs, and well I would someday very much like to see Cronos live, I still think this will be a very good time, and by all accounts Tony Dolan is a super cool dude. 

Anyways, that's my thread starter. If you have clarity on the legal stuff, or if you want to weigh in on the line ups have at it. 

I don't think I've heard anything worth listening to from Venom since 2000's "Resurrection" album so I don't think I'd be all that enthused about the prospect of seeing that lineup live. I'd be more inclined to check out Venom Inc. as their last full-length (i.e. 2022's "There's Only Black") was actually pretty decent.
