Special Horde removal judgement submission week: Day 7 - The Gathering's "Downfall: The Early Years"

My last judgement submission of this special week is for this album from a band that I lost interest in along with the rest of my earlier epic metal taste because of this band's later alt/prog rock. Similar to that Paradise Lost compilation, this album is a collection of demos The Gathering made before they released their debut album Always... However, once again, while there are standard death metal elements in the demos, death-doom is much closer to doom. I don't think a gothic death/doom turned alt/prog rock band would ever belong in The Horde. So I'd like to submit The Gathering's "Downfall: The Early Years" to the Hall with the proposal of removing it from The Horde while keeping it in The Fallen.
