What's up, metalheads?
I'm David, and I'm a huge fan of kickass metal, especially thrash metal and death metal. I'm also slowly getting into black metal, power metal and heavy metal. My favourite bands are Testament, Kreator, Slayer, Sodom, Bolt Thrower, Cannibal Corpse, Amon Amarth (pre-Surtur Rising), Sepultura, Nailbomb and Emperor.
I'm also a comic book reader who especially loves comics with a metal album cover aesthetic, such as Spawn, The Darkness, Venom, (I recently finished the Cates omnibus), Wolverine, Punisher, Moon Knight, Ghost Rider, Murder Falcon, Judge Dredd, Cyber Force and Evil Ernie. For metal bands and comics, O'm always up for recommendations.
Metal until death! Devil horns Intensifies
Welcome, David! I would recommend the Iced Earth album The Dark Saga. It's a thrashy heavy/power metal concept album based on Spawn.
'Till death, mate, it's great to have you on board. I would highly recommend you have a look at the clan playlists we throw together each month. It's a wonderful way to share and encounter new music & I've been having an absolute blast with them ever since I had joined the site. I look forward to hearing what's on the radar of a fellow Bolt Thrower fan, should you decide to participate. Have fun!
For example, this is the relevant thread for The Horde: https://metal.academy/forum/10/thread/480
Welcome to the Academy David. From your post, I'd suggest that you've come to the right place. Please feel free to become as involved as little or as much as you'd like & don't be shy. We're generally a very pleasant & friendly bunch who are all extremely passionate about our metal.

I'll definitely try it out soon. Also fun fact: Iced Earth re-recording compilation album, Days of Purgatory, has artwork from the Purgatori comics by Chaos! Comics.
