Requests for The Fallen Releases / Bands to be added to Metal Academy
Ben, please add Ramesses (UK).
Hi Ben, could you add Acid Witch (US) and Suum (Italy) please.
Hi Ben, when you have a chance could you please add Deathkings (USA) and Nomad (UK), as well as Novembers Doom's 2019 album Nephilim Grove?
Also, My Dying Bride's page shows 2 entries for 1995's The Angel and the Dark River. Possible error?
I don't see The Angel and the Dark River added twice on My Dying Bride's page, but I do however notice Amon Amarth's page show 2001's The Crusher added twice, along with All That Remains' The Fall of Ideals release year being 2004 instead of 2006 and Symphony X's self-titled debut release year being 1996 instead of 1994. Is it possible to fix those errors, Ben? If it is, please fix them!
Screenshot of what I'm seeing.
Well that's odd. It's not duplicated in other devices that I'm using, like on my iPad:
But the duplication of Amon Amarth's The Crusher is definitely true (even though it's The Horde, NOT The Fallen):
This "feature" is of course part of some exciting & ground-breaking new functionality that we've been testing over the last few weeks. It's in no way a total complete & utter fuck-up by the site administration & in time you'll see its true genius.
Ben, please could you add Markov Soroka's Drown project (US).
There were indeed two of Amon Amarth's The Crusher on the site, although one of them had no clan attached to it. That's been cleaned up.
As for The Angel and the Dark River, I can't see anything wrong with that one and can't replicate the duplication. I'm wondering whether it's just a caching issue? Can you see if you can repeat it Tymell?
Good pick up on the All That Remains and Symphony X albums shadowdoom9. They've both been fixed. I blame Rate Your Music. If you check out Symphony X on that site you'll see that it shows up as their second album being released in 1996. If you then click on it you can see that it did indeed have a 1994 release. I've probably got things wrong in other instances where they've done that.
Cheers all for the correction requests. I of course always want the site to be as accurate as it can be.
Thanks Ben!
Hi again Ben. Could you please add Khazad-dûm (UK), Devil Seed (Hungary), Konvent (Denmark) and Proscrito (Spain). Thanks.
Ben, please add the Rosetta / East of the Wall / Year of No Light split & Rwake (USA).
Hi Ben, could you add the new MDB, Ghost of Orion and the Atavisma / Void Rot split, please.
Ben, please add Sorrow (USA).
Ben, please add Doomfall (US), Soul of Salem (Italy), Dark Matter (UK) and Earthmass (UK).
Ben, please add Tacoma Narrows Bridge Disaster (UK).
Ben, please add Tombs (USA).
Ben, please add the Ufomammut-Lento split album.
Hi Ben,
When you have time, I'd love to see the Finnish avant-garde doom band Aarni on here.
They should probably be tagged as Infinite as well since the avant-garde and prog aspects of their sound are extremely prominent in addition to the doom metal backbone.
Hi Ben, please add Rosy Finch's new album Scarlet, which is definitely more metal than their debut and the Mourning Beloveth / Ruins of Beverast split EP, Don't Walk on the Mass Graves. Also:
Phantom Druid (Netherlands)
Trebuchet (UK)
Eldritch Rites (Australia)
Smoke Mountain (US)
Seed of the Sorcerer, Womb of the Witch (US)
Sleeping Village (US)
Goblinsmoker (UK)
Satyrus (Italy)
Beggar (UK)
Dö (Finland)
Planet of the Dead (New Zealand)
Sibyl (US)
Blackwater Holylight (US)
Sorry it's quite a long list!
Certainly! Nice to have some more requests.
Note that The Mourning Beloveth / Ruins of Beverast split has already been added.

Hi Ben, please add Japanese doom duo BlackLab.
Hey Ben, how about Damad? Pre-Kylesa, and I think “Rise and Fall” would be a good choice if the Sludge challenge happens.

Upon looking up that band in Rate Your Music, I think "Burning Cold" might be a better album for the possible Sludge challenge.
