8-Track Themes "Bad Trip"
1) We begin with 8 tracks centered around a theme. This theme is "Bad Trip" and the idea here was to create a nasty psychedelic/stoner/doom/sludge type of playlist laced with plenty of hate.
This is that original 8-Track Set:
1. Black Sabbath "Snowblind"
2. Uncle Acid and the Deadbeats "Death's Door"
3. Sleep "Dragonaut"
4. Eyehategod "New Orleans is the New Vietnam"
5. Weedeater "Long Gone"
6. Electric Wizard "Funeralopolis"
7. Witch "Rip Van Winkle"
8. Buzzo*en "Hollow"
2) What you want to do now is take that same theme, but replace, reorder, add, drop, and discuss around the theme. The idea is to simulate listening parties, build community, and have a good time.

I am not a big fan of Uncle Acid, so I will drop them first and replace them with one of the ultimate "bad trip" bands, Burning Witch. Even the very thought of dropping acid whilst listening to Crippled Lucifer makes me feel like I am gonna have a panic attack, over thirty years since I last did psychedelics!
Truth be told I am also not a huge Uncle Acid fan, I like them well enough but they wouldn't be absolute favorites. Their inclusion here is partly for being right on theme, and mostly because my wife loves that song. Gotta check out some Burning Witch when I get home if they are as nasty and trippy as you imply here.

I don't know about trippy, but nasty, most definitely and liable to induce a bad trip in any unsuspecting acid head.
I'm gonna opt to replace the Weedeater track as I feel that it's probably the least impressive of the list so far & will fill the gap with what was arguably the first genuine metal song to come out of my home country of Australia in Ash's 1971 "Midnight Witch", a track that I feel is more than deserving of the stoner metal tag & is also worthy of a lot more attention than it's received over the years. These guys only released two obscure singles before dissolving, the first of which was a psychedelic pop effort, which makes "Midnight Witch" even more attractive to those who might be looking for underground gems.
1. Ash - "Midnight Witch"
2. Black Sabbath "Snowblind"
3. Burning Witch "Sacred Predictions"
4. Sleep "Dragonaut"
5. Eyehategod "New Orleans is the New Vietnam"
6. Electric Wizard "Funeralopolis"
7. Witch "Rip Van Winkle"
8. Buzzo*en "Hollow"
Adding Midnight Witch to my investigation list to comment on later. For now I just want to speak for my boys in Weedeater. If I am remembering correctly a lot of our most active members hail from Europe and Australia. Weedeater is a specific brand of Metal that speaks to America's rural South, and as a man of rural America, their specific brand of anger just really hits for me. You gotta go smoke a pack of Winston Selects, Drink a 5th of Jack Daniels, eat some BBQ with sweet tea, and then go jump in the creek. That's when Weedeater starts to click.
I think my upbringing flavored my tastes a little differently. I like them Weedeater boys.
1. Ash - "Midnight Witch"
2. Black Sabbath "Snowblind"
3. Burning Witch "Sacred Predictions"
4. Sleep "Dragonaut"
5. Eyehategod "New Orleans is the New Vietnam"
6. Electric Wizard "Funeralopolis"
7. Year of the Cobra "Lion and the Unicorn"
8. Buzzo*en "Hollow"
Nice enough though "Rip Van Winkle" is, particularly the guitar leads I am going to drop it for Year of the Cobra's "Lion and the Unicorn", the opener from their "...In the Shadows Below" album. YotC are husband and wife duo who don't use guitars. As a bassist yourself, Zero, I thought you might appreciate Amy's stoned-out psych-heavy basslines.
I'm gonna take out the Buzzo*en track which I've only just become aware of so it hasn't played a major role in my life to date & will replace it with one of my favourite anthems from the local Australian scene of the early 1990's in the opening track "Loose" from Christbait's 1992 "Yeast" E.P.:
1. Ash - "Midnight Witch"
2. Black Sabbath "Snowblind"
3. Burning Witch "Sacred Predictions"
4. Sleep "Dragonaut"
5. Eyehategod "New Orleans is the New Vietnam"
6. Electric Wizard "Funeralopolis"
7. Year of the Cobra "Lion and the Unicorn"
8. Christbait - "Loose"
