Mr. Bungle's self-titled album is much more than funk metal

While there's obviously a big funk component to Mr. Bungle's 1991 debut album, the metal & the funk components are rarely presented at the same time & funk is just one of many different elements that contribute to the final product. Therefore, I think it's a stretch to claim it as a pure funk metal release & feel that the avant-garde metal tag is capable of pulling everything together without the requirement for a support tag. For that reason, I'd like to see "Mr. Bungle" be removed from The Gatewat & reside solely in The Infinite.

This nomination has been posted in the Hall of Judgement.

I've just given this album some listening and a review because I felt up to checking out one of the most experimental releases in metal. Here we have an avant-garde metal exploration through noise, funk, thrash, and circus music. I agree that there's barely any pure funk here, and I shall give your Hall entry a YES vote.
