8-Track Themes "Sunset Strip"

1) We begin with 8 tracks centered around a theme. This theme is ""Sunset Strip" and the idea here was to highlight some of the heaviest offerings from the controversial Glam/Hair Metal sub genre.

This is the original 8-Track Set:

1. Quiet Riot "Slick Black Cadillac"

2. Motely Crue "Take me to the Top"

3. Dokken "Breaking the Chains

4. Twisted Sister "Shoot 'Em Down"

5. WASP "The Torture Never Stops"

6. Skid Row "Quicksand Jesus"

7. Warrant "April 2031"

8. Van Halen "Unchained"

2) What you want to do now is take that same theme, but replace, reorder, add, drop, and discuss around the theme. The idea is to simulate listening parties, build community, and have a good time.

I've always had a really hard time with Quiet Riot's "Slick Black Cadillac & the "Quiet Riot II" album in general so I'm gonna opt to unceremoniously cull it & go with an Aussie glam metal classic in Boss' 1984 "Strange Games" single from their sole full-length "Step On It".

1. Boss - "Strange Games"

2. Motley Crue "Take me to the Top"

3. Dokken "Breaking the Chains

4. Twisted Sister "Shoot 'Em Down"

5. WASP "The Torture Never Stops"

6. Skid Row "Quicksand Jesus"

7. Warrant "April 2031"

8. Van Halen "Unchained"

Cool tune and I like Album cover too. Delightfully goofy! Quiet Riot 2 Was only released in Japan, so I always associated "Slick Black Cadillac" with Metal Health Album-they re-recorded it for that.

So I went back to investigate, and yes the Quiet Riot II version is balls. It's not worlds different but it's weaker than the Metal Health version by a significant amount.
