It’s a decent album. Atmospheric. I bought the vinyl back in ‘90 or ‘91. I like the simplicity of it. Raw, old style black metal. They turned into something totally different within a few years but I really like Wildhoney as well. They were a talented band - in my opinion and different to the norm also.
I think that it’s a really good thrash album. Creeping Death, For Whom The Bell Tolls and the title track are classics - in my opinion. Even Escape and Trapped Under Ice are well above your average thrash songs. Still listen to the album frequently to this day. 4.5 out of 5 for me.
I really liked the album when it was released and still do. We used to go nuts when ‘Killing In The Name Of’ was played in Sally Longs back then - a metal pub in Galway. It has stood the test of time for sure. I’d give it 4.5 out of 5.
