September 2026 Featured Release - The Revolution Edition

So just like that we find that a new month is upon us which of course means that we’ll be nominating a brand new monthly feature release for each clan. This essentially means that we’re asking you to rate, review & discuss our chosen features for no other reason than because we enjoy the process & banter. We’re really looking forward to hearing your thoughts on our chosen releases so don’t be shy.

This month's feature release for The Revolution, nominated by me (Shadowdoom9 (Andi)), is the brand-new debut album by Orlando-based metalcore/post-hardcore band concealer., This Room Could Be Heaven. From the very beginning of metalcore one month to its current state of revival the next, I've chosen this album by a band who may just be restoring the greatness of 2000s metalcore/post-hardcore. So get ready for a trip down memory lane reconstructed by a young new band!

Here's my review summary:

This Room Could Be Heaven is concealer.'s debut after a couple EPs. All of the melody and emotion that has made metalcore and emo 20 to 25 years ago is in here, while making room for some modern heaviness in the riffing. We already get some vicious intensity blended with ethereal melody. At times it sounds almost like if Skycamefalling didn't split up and instead make a second album. And by the end, listeners would want more of this promising contribution to the revival. If they can make it big with this one and future albums, this could be the scene's new era!
