My Dying Bride's "The Dreadful Hours"

Look, we all know that there's a gothic component to My Dying Bride's sound but do we really need "The Dreadful Hours" to be tagged as "gothic metal" on top of its "death doom metal" tag? I think the gothic metal tag is referring to a particular sound rather than ALL metal with gothic influences & I'd rather have our members filtered searches returning releases that champion that sound more than doom/death or black metal releases with a gothic component. Therefore, I'd like to see the gothic metal tag removed from "The Dreadful Hours".

I agree, the gothic metal aspect is nothing like as obvious here as in a lot of gothic death doom (and is better for it!) It's been mentioned before, but I think there is a case for separating true gothic metal from other metal sub-genres that may have some gothic atmosphere, such as death doom or black metal. At best these should only have gothic as a secondary genre, as they would say on RYM.
