Apocalyptica has been known for their cello-focused symphonic metal sound since the early 2000s. Many of the songs in their 2005 album have symphonic grandeur and classic heavy metal-based instrumentation, thus making it more than just alternative metal. And the Aquarela EP is probably the most metal Nat Geo-ish documentary soundtrack I've heard, like half the amount of songs in the EP qualify as symphonic metal including the 7 and a half minute track "Aqua Genesis" that borders into extreme progressive metal. So I'd like to submit Apocalyptica's 2005 self-titled album and "Aquarela" to the Hall to be added to The Guardians and symphonic metal.

I decided to pass "Aquarela" uncontested.
