High on Fire's "Snakes for the Divine" is more than just stoner metal
I've just had my first High on Fire full-album experience (not including their Bat Salad EP) by checking out their 2010 album Snakes for the Divine. Although there's a lot of stoner metal, I wouldn't say that's inaccurate, but their sound blends that with mid-paced/fast sludge/thrash metal in most of the songs. I also wouldn't call this album classic heavy metal because the heavy metal tag is a bit redundant here when the riffing, soloing, and vocals cover the best of those other aforementioned genres. With that I'd like to send High on Fire's "Snakes for the Divine" to the Hall with 3 entries for the album to...
1. Have sludge metal added.
2. Be removed from The Guardians and heavy metal.
3. Be added to The Pit and speed metal.
All while maintaining its position in The Fallen and stoner metal.
I'm confused by item one as the release is already in the database under Stoner Metal. I'll just go ahead & remove the release from The Guardians as it no longer qualifies for that clan anyway. I've added an entry to have it added to The Pit under Speed Metal though.
Sorry Daniel, I meant have sludge metal added. It's OK though, we can start with The Pit entry first.
Never mind, I've added the other Hall of Judgement entry for you Andi.
OK, thanks Daniel.
