Anthrax's "I'm The Man" E.P. is thrash metal.
Anthrax's 1987 extended single "I'm The Man" is currently only listed in The Gateway under Rap Metal but that really only accounts for about 40% of the run time & is made up of three different versions of the title track. The live versions of "Caught In A Mosh" & "I Am The Law" are clearly Thrash Metal while the Black Sabbath cover version is more akin to thrashed up heavy metal. I think there's as much Thrash Metal as there is Rap Metal on offer so I'd like to see "I'm The Man" added to The Pit.
This nomination has been posted in the Hall of Judgement.
I decided to check this EP out to continue testing out my interest in Anthrax, as well as explore the first ever rap metal release and one of the earliest Gateway releases. I can definitely hear what you mean, Daniel. The EP is basically 3 different versions of a song that has kickstarted rap metal, a Black Sabbath cover, and two live versions of songs from Among the Living. The rap/thrash/heavy metal ratio is 40%, 40%, 20%. I'm giving this one a YES vote!
