Ten Worst Metal Releases of All Time
So this morning I decided to give myself a unique challenge off the back of reviewing quite possibly the worst metal release I've ever heard in my life a week or so back. I took on the task of collating a list of the ten worst metal releases I've ever encountered which will obviously be a work in progress for the remainder of my life & will likely end up being my ultimate legacy once I'm gone. For clarity, I've only included releases that I've rated in the Metal Academy database as there are simply too many obscure releases for me to remember otherwise. For the record, Opeth's "Apostle in Triumph" demo & Agalloch's "From Which Of This Oak" demo would comfortably have made this list if they had of been included in our database. In fact, the Opeth demo would probably have topped the list.

Out of interest, why is black noise excluded from qualification?
Feels way too much like general noise music with a black atmosphere than other kinds of metal, like the metal was sucked out to make room for more Merzbow. Obviously this isn't true for all black noise albums, but most of the ones I've heard don't make the cut.
Here's my list (mostly stinker albums I found in my metalcore rediscovery journey, each 2 stars or less):

Mostly punk-infused like mine.
In fairness, Andi's Top Ten Releases of All Time list would likely be mostly punk-infused too as those are the roads he mostly regularly drives on.
So I've unfortunately encountered a release that's seen me reassessing how bad music can be over the last couple of days & has surprisingly seen me removing Metallica's "St. Anger" from my top ten which is something I never thought would happen when I first heard that disgraceful misfire of an album.

I do love that you have an Iron Maiden album in your top 10 worst releases of all time. I don't think I've ever heard that album, so I'm not saying you're wrong.
I'll have you know that I don't fuck around with serious matters such as this Ben. There's simply far too much at stake.
I was also going to ask about the Iron Maiden, but there's obviously too much passion emanating from Daniel that I'll leave it to my imagination.
It did make me curious though, as this is probably easier than the Best 10 Albums Of All Time. Encenathrakh is easily #1, but the rest isn't in any order, and the De Magia Veterum album may be a bit of a stretch since I'm more used to Black Metal than I was a few years ago.
