First Post January 05, 2023 02:47 PM

So with 2022 now consigned to the dustbin of history it's time to have a look at the most important releases from that year with the ultimate winner from each clan being announced in early February.

Here are the releases that are currently competing for the prestigious 2022 The Sphere Release of the Year Award:

3 ratings or more:

Northlane - Obsidian [alternative/industrial metal]

Rammstein - Zeit [Neue Deutsche Härte]

Two ratings (since the 3 ratings list is so short):

Architects - Classic Symptoms of a Broken Spirit [alternative/industrial metal]

Author & Punisher - Krüller [industrial/drone metal]

Additional suggestions:

Gothminister - Pandemonium [industrial metal]

Psyclon Nine - Less to Heaven [industrial metal/dark electro]

So which other releases do you think should come into contention so that our members can check them out prior to the end of month cut-off? Discuss!

For the record, the Northlane album gets my vote from the couple of eligible releases I explored last year.
