Hall of Judgement submissions that are close to a result
I thought I'd create a thread that would highlight the Hall of Judgement submissions that are closest to a result in case any eligible members haven't as yet voted on them & would like to contribute in the interest of gaining an accurate outcome.
These are the releases that are currently very close to a result in the Hall of Judgement:
Pink - "Boris" (The Fallen)
Turbo - "Dorosłe dzieci" (The Guardians)
Motorhead - "Motorhead" (The Guardians)
M.S.W. - "Obliviosis" (The Fallen/The Infinite)
Cryptic Shift - "Visitations From Enceladus" (The Horde/The Infinite/The Pit)
Katatonia - "The Great Cold Distance" (The Gateway/The Infinite)
maudlin of the Well - "Leaving Your Body Map" (The Infinite)
Månegarm - "Vredens tid" (The North)
Mastodon - Blood Mountain (The Fallen/The Infinite)
Author & Punisher - "Krüller" (The Fallen/The Sphere)
Hexer - "Cosmic Doom Ritual" (The Fallen/The Infinite)
If you're familiar with any of these releases but are still yet to cast your vote then what are you waiting for!
We currently have ELEVEN votes on these two Hall of Judgement entries without a clear result so they've been keenly contested & aren't too far away from a full fifteen-vote outcome. If you're eligible to vote but haven't yet elected to participate then we'd encourage you to do so:
1. To add Black Sabbath's self-titled debut album to The Fallen under Stoner Metal.

2. To remove Oranssi Pazuzu's "Mestarin kynsi" from The Infinite & Avant-Garde Metal.
These entries have TEN votes thus far:
1. To remove Sarcofago's "I.N.R.I." from The Pit & Thrash Metal.
2. To have Celtic Frost's "Into The Pandemonium" removed from The Infinite & Avant-Garde Metal.
I haven't heard any Sarcofago yet, but I'll hold off on that for a later marathon. I've already voted on the top two, so now all that's left is Into the Pandemonium. I don't know about the goth metal tag being primary. I wouldn't vote for that since I only hear it in a couple tracks, but I do agree that the avant-garde tag should be taken off. They probably should've been two separate Halls.
Most of the avant-garde behavior on the album is resorted to either including a different genre in a song or the kind of abrupt tempo changes that are quite common in thrash metal, and I can safely make that assumption after having blown through many thrash / blackened thrash albums for the last two Clan Challenges I finished. "Avant-garde metal" seems more like a way to quickly describe this playful thrash album rather than a way to acknowledge a previously established genre, because comparing this sound to the works of Arcturus, Maudlin of the Well, some Blut Aus Nord and Thy Catafalque seems pretty impossible.
The one thing holding me back from voting yes is the goth metal inclusion. I can't look at this album and say, "Tristania, Type O Negative, Draconian," etc. Otherwise, I'll just end up in the same boat I'm in now.
If it helps, I guess I'll vote yes to this one, but I'll leave it to be questioned as to whether or not this is goth metal by someone else. Can't say I fell in love with this album.
I've just changed the entry & we now have twelve ratings without a clear outcome.

Didn't know you could do that.
Yeah, I can as an administrator. Unfortunately, I can't know how many of the existing negative votes might have been positive if I'd had the two topics separated to begin with but hopefully it comes out with the right result anyway.
