Two modern Pit classics celebrating their 15th anniversary. I should revisit that Revocation album sometime.

This album, along with the band's self-titled, literally changed my life. Still can't believe it has been 25 years though!

A recent Fallen feature release is 10 years old today. Formed after Gates of Slumber split, this was Wretch's only full-length release and damn fine it is too. Also celebrating a decade of existence is the serially underrated The Wounded Kings final album "Visions in Bone". Ironically, it is my least favourite of their releases (and the only one on Spotify), but it is still a decent slab of doom metal.

August 26, 2016 has got to be one of the most special days of 2010s metal, with even more releases from that day than from that other special day (August 7, 2001), including some of the more melodic albums from that year that I like, mostly from The Guardians (well I haven't checked out that Helstar album yet, but maybe someday):

Slipknot's Iowa hits fuckin' 25 today. Wow, I wasn't even 40 back then. Where the hell did a quarter of a century go?
