The "Hall of Fame"

I was looking at a forum thread on RYM about this year's inductees to the RnR Hall of Fame. I have never understood who would give a shit about such an obvious industry back-slapping contest to be honest and it seems to mean sweet FA to anyone outside the US. It did get me thinking about who would get into a hypothetical Metal Academy Hall of Fame, though. So, nominating an act for each of your member clans, who would your picks be?

For myself I would probably have to go with

Fallen: Candlemass

Horde: Death

North: Darkthrone

Pit: Slayer

Of course Black Sabbath would have to be in as all-round icons and progenitors of the genre and for releasing multiple classics.

FALLEN: Black Sabbath (for first four albums)

HORDE: Death

NORTH: Bathory

PIT: Metallica

Let's see how well I can do here. Since we're just doing one act per clan I would like suggest:

Gateway: Rage Against the Machine

Guardians: Judas Priest

Infinite: Dream Theater

Obviously, as Sonny already mentioned, Black Sabbath could easily be the nominee for the Guardians, but they are all around icons and could easily take a place in the Fallen as well with their first five records.
