The Stinkers Thread - The Sphere Edition
Thumbs down for this synth-driven sh*t:
A f***ing embarrassment of cheesy 80s electro-synths and rapping-like vocals in the verses:
The lack of balance in some songs from this Mechina album can stir up a few failures, with this one being the worst, most flat-sounding sh*tter there:
One of the best songs in Soul of a New Machine is unfortunately f***ed up by the overuse of techno beats that can be quite traumatic for the more deathly metalheads:
A weak love ballad that marked a poor letdown of a closing track for Rammstein's breakthrough album:
This sh*tty downer doesn't really add anything, and it's best to just ignore it:
This Alice Cooper cover would've been great, but Vorph's attempt at singing it ruins it all:
This stinker fits well with its name, being far too weird for its own good:
How is "Useless" weird though? Sure, it utilizes dissonance fairly heavily but that's hardly unusual for industrial metal, is it? I quite like "Useless" actually. "Crumbs" is the only track on "Filth Pig" that I struggle with.
I find the heavy dissonance to be a little too weirdly used on that one, Daniel. Now that I think about it, "Crumbs" really would be a slightly better choice for this thread. It's too... crumby. Haha
The messy writing in some parts of Empyrean makes another flat sh*tter, basically this album's "Internecion":
A rather terrible sh*tter going back to the messy side of the previous two albums:
This sh*tty drop of quality with lack of variation is the only Sybreed track to qualify for this thread:
The shortest and weakest failure of Neurotech's debut album:
The band's attempt at experimenting with major-key brightness make this sh*tter the worst they've done in 10 years, and it fits better in a Cynic/Devin Townsend album:
Too much electronic sh*t in this awful stinker:
A slip into an acoustic sound that sounds too f***ing dull for me:
Why did they have to f*** up the best tracks of each Fear of Domination album with sh*tty remixes?! This one is the worst:
One of the most sh*tty covers I've heard in all metal:
This f***ed up attempt at rapping really ruins the song for me. Rapping doesn't belong in these extreme albums! Perspectives would've been perfect without it.
These tracks were in the original 1992 edition of Circle of Dust's self-titled debut and were never re-recorded because of how much Klayton hated them. And I have to agree, these two sh*tty tracks should never have existed:
