May 2026 Featured Release - The Pit Edition

For The Pit feature release this month we are going with a brand new release from a band I had never even heard of until I saw them added to Metal Academy a few weeks ago. Germany's Zerre were originally a hardcore punk band who now ply their trade as crossover thrashers.  Rotting on a Golden Throne, is their fourth full length but only their second in the cross style.  I was pretty enamoured with the record after one listen and so I thought what better way to showcase a new arrival on the site, than to put them in the limelight for May.

I'm not aware of these guys. Sounds interesting though as I like myself a bit of crossover thrash.

Really enjoyed this and I am working on a review, but I just wanted to point out that after trying to order the CD on Bandcamp, for a completely reasonably £11, they then wanted to charge £172 postage for fucks sake!! What is up with that, don't they want to sell any bloody records or what? I have e-mailed the label, Dying Victims Productions in Germany to see what is going on, but that is just bloody ridiculous.
