The Hall of Judgement: Orphaned Land - Sahara

shadowdoom9 (Andi) has requested that this release be submitted into the Hall of Judgement. If you agree with the below change request, vote YES. If you don't, vote NO.

Request: Orphaned Land's "Sahara" album should be added to The Fallen on top of its existing position in The Horde.

This change would add the Doom Metal genre to the release.

Member comment: "I disagree about Orphaned Land's debut Sahara being progressive melodeath. That's how I would describe El Norra Alila, but Sahara is, to my ears, a different beast from that album and especially the more progressive and melodic releases they would make after reforming. I would consider this melodic death-doom, standing in the line between The Horde and The Fallen. Many songs have the slow doomy tempos and depressive mood balanced out with the growls and occasional fast drumming of death metal/melodeath, in a way similar to old-school My Dying Bride and Septicflesh at that time yet replacing the symphonic violin/keys with Middle Eastern vibes. So, I'd like to submit Orphaned Land's 'Sahara' to The Hall to be added to The Fallen and death-doom while staying in The Horde and melodic death metal."
