Recently I have gotten more into metal music as a whole and thought it would be a good idea to join this community. Honestly, I don't even have any clue how to use the website yet but I rated most of the metal albums I heard. I am also thinking about adding releases that are not on this website yet.
I am usually more of a Death Doom and Melodic Black Metal kind of person, still open to whatever genre of music I come across, it is all about the sentiments for me. Though I have a tendency to love things leaning to more alternative side.
I also write poems and stories, and it wouldn't be wrong to say that some themes or lyricism I heard in Metal music inspired me to an extent.
I am also open to making new friends, I like to talk about music non-stop. So if you want to hit me with some nice atmospheric stuff, you definitely should.

I am currently sat listening to Bell Witch who seem to have been on loop most of the weekend so far, lots of melancholic atmosphere is the order of the day for me.
In terms of adding bands/releases, there's a thread in each of the clan forums where you can request for the additions (you can't do them yourself) and Ben will pick these up when he is on his next run of additions.

Welcome, silentsteps! I'm generally more of a metalcore/industrial/power/progressive metal kind of a guy, but I sometimes explore other metal genres, with some results good, bad, or mixed. And just because something isn't up my alley doesn't always mean it's bad for anyone else. Andi, I'll definitely listen to this today and get back to you. Thank you for the recommendation. I cannot check your list very well on my phone but you probably know about Voivod, I thought their music might be to your liking. I started to get into them lately

I listened to Deimos XIII and I think I'm kind of in a spot where I am growing off this type of music. It's not a bad record but I am feeling mixed about it. Yes, I am thinking of hearing more Voivod for sure. I just need to get over my Brave Murder Day obsession to hear more music, this album has conquered my brain

If you subscribe to threads then you should get a notification when you get replies.
I would recommend Mirror Reaper by Bell Witch. Simply one of their greatest ever records.
