The Hall of Judgement: Voivod - War and Pain

RESULT: With an unbeatable 8 Yes and 3 No votes, Ben's request has been upheld by the Hall. This release has therefore been given the Speed Metal genre and had the Thrash Metal genre removed.

Member's Comment: "Voivod's debut album is generally always listed as Thrash Metal, but there are actually very few riffs that resemble that very distinct style. Piggy is certainly playing fast and aggressively, but I feel it's much more accurate to label what he's doing as Speed Metal. This would obviously not affect the clan that War and Pain is attached to, but I feel it would provide a more accurate genre description."
